The viewfinder does not turn when I turn the phone
That is on purpose. The frame stays the way up you chose in Settings, so it holds still while you walk a set with the phone at any angle. Switch it in Settings, Viewfinder, Orientation.
A camera does not change shape when you tilt it, and the viewfinder does not either. Turning the phone moves the picture, and the frame and controls stay put.
- Open Settings from the tools at the top of the viewfinder.
- Under Viewfinder, set Orientation to Horizontal or Vertical.
- The window turns at once, whichever way you are holding the phone.
Horizontal frames landscape with the controls in two rails either side of the picture, for two hands. Vertical frames tall with the controls in a cluster under the picture, for one hand. Vertical also brings the Vertical Rig choice in Setup: Extract crops a tall frame out of the wide gate, and Rotated turns the camera on its side.
The same choice works on iPad.
If that didn't work
If the window did not turn after you changed Orientation, close Settings and look again: the viewfinder turns as the setting changes. For tall frames for social and the two vertical rigs, see frame for vertical.
