Problems signing in with Cutvey

Most sign-in problems are a code that expired, a network that blocks the secure connection, or a workspace whose plan or seat does not cover Viewfinder. The sign-in sheet says which, in a line under the code boxes.

There are no passwords. You type the email you use for Cutvey, then the six-digit code sent to it, then a code from your authenticator app if your workspace asks for one.

The code

  • No email arrived. The sheet says a code is on its way if that address has a Cutvey account, and codes last a few minutes. Check spam, then tap Resend once its countdown ends.
  • That code is invalid or expired. Tap Resend and use the newest code.
  • That is a few too many tries. Wait a couple of minutes and start again.
  • That two factor code did not work. Use the code your authenticator app shows now.
  • That sign in took too long. Start again with your email.

The network

  • Cutvey could not be reached. The device has no usable connection.
  • Cutvey could not be reached securely on this network. Some office and hotel networks inspect secure traffic, which this connection refuses. Try another Wi-Fi network or cellular data.

The workspace

If you belong to more than one workspace, choose the one that covers Viewfinder. A line under a name says why it cannot be picked: the plan does not include Viewfinder, the membership has ended, or access is paused.

There is no Cutvey workspace on this email that can use Cutvey Viewfinder means none of your workspaces covers it. Tap Use a different email, or ask the workspace owner.

Move this seat here? appears when your seat is already in use on another Apple Account. Tap Move to bring it to this one; the devices on the other Apple Account are signed out.

If that didn't work

This Apple Account could not be identified just now needs a connection to iCloud: check the network and try again. This device could not be identified goes away after you restart Viewfinder.
