Sign out of Cutvey, or release this device's activation

In Settings, Access, Sign out of Cutvey on this device frees this device only. Release this activation gives the whole activation back to the workspace and signs out every device on it, yours included.

Settings, Access shows the workspace that covers this device and the date it signed in. A device that was bought shows a line saying so instead, with nothing to sign out of.

Sign out on this device

  1. Open Settings and scroll to Access.
  2. Tap Sign out of Cutvey on this device, then Sign Out.
  3. Viewfinder locks on this device. Your other devices stay signed in, and the workspace keeps its activation.

Use this when you hand a phone back or move to a new one.

Release the activation

  1. In Access, tap Release this activation, then Release.
  2. The whole activation goes back to the workspace. Every device on it is signed out, and the place is free for someone else in the workspace.

If this device never recorded which activation it uses, the release row is replaced by a note: an owner can release it from the Cutvey web app, and signing out still works.

If you also bought Viewfinder from Apple, neither button locks the app, because the purchase stands on its own.

If that didn't work

When Cutvey cannot be reached, the device stays signed in and the sheet says nothing changed. Try again with a connection. Sign out anyway clears this device only; Cutvey is not told, so the device keeps its place in the workspace until someone signs it out from the Cutvey web app.
