Where my shots are kept, and how to get them out

Shots stay on your iPhone or iPad, filed by project and scene. Save them to Photos, share them, or export a PDF shot list. Nothing is uploaded to Cutvey.

  1. Open Shots from the viewfinder.
  2. Select the stills and takes you want.
  3. Save them to Photos, or share them through AirDrop, Mail, Files or another app.

Photos access is add-only: Viewfinder can write to your library and never reads it. A still keeps the setup in its EXIF: the simulated camera and mode, the lens and focal length, the capture time, and the location and bearing when tagging is on. Takes carry only a creation date in the file.

If that didn't work

Deleting the app deletes what is still only inside it, so save or share what you want to keep first. There is no cloud copy, and the shot library is kept out of iCloud and computer backups: a phone restored from a backup starts with an empty library. Save to Photos or share your shots before you move to a new device.
